Lumino is a interesting product. It started out as a weird trend for rich kid cyber punks thinking they wanted to be ‘the guy’ and just wouldn’t settle for a pair of fake looking colored contacts. A Lumino injection to the eyes could give you a cool glowing look, if you could find it.
Eventually as all things people figure out other uses, the side effects included being able to see in the dark for one, but also a euphoric state. In less than a year of its introduction Lumino abuse was on the rise, the drug was outlawed,…. the price shot up. The glowing eyes quickly stopped being a status symbol or sign of a fun funky teen and instead became a symbol of wasted brain cells. With so many glowing eyed zombies looking for the next hit a good hustler could make a killing.

But suppose you are on your way to the next big sale. There is a glowing eyed junkie waiting 3 streets over. And you are short a few vials of the promised merchandise.
Do you take the hit and only get half your money,… or do you stop in at the local pets store on the way for a quick substitute? Junkies not gonna know the difference, you will be long gone before he figures that one out.
